CONSULTANCY OFFERED

Manufacturing Performance Challenge
This involves an opportunity to review the cost efficiency of the whole manufacturing base with a view to establishing a programme or series of projects to be tackled in turn to change plants from laggards to as near leadership as possible. Independent benchmarking support provided if appropriate.

Product and Process Technology Strategy studies.
A thorough study of the current range of products and their manufacturing processes will lead to an assessment of their competitivity and potential. An assessment of the R&D programme, resources, skills and risks will result in a clear view on its ability to deliver the business result needed from this with an understanding of the gaps which need to be filled.

Technology Transfer (in and out).
Licensing can be expensive (selling as well as buying) but experience can help achieve the objectives. Hulatt Consulting's expertise in defining requirements, stipulating those to the licensor and in negotiating them can make a significant difference to project profitability. Never do it on your own.
Hulatt Consulting can help you set up a cost effective licensing activity to avoid excessive internal cost while enhancing sales potential.
If you have something worth selling, technology exchange can be an extremely effective way of increasing capability at low cost but suspicion can prevent successful exchange. Independent arbiters can significantly increase the chances of success.

Technology Evaluation and Development.
Technical teams too often lack the business input to evaluate technology and focus its development to maximum business effect. Often there is no appropriate process to control (or stop) its development. Hulatt Consulting can provide support or leadership to specific developments and can install a step by step approach to such developments for maximum efficiency and effective input to projects as appropriate.

The Next STEP (Shaping Teams for Exceptional Performance).
The Next STEP provides a formal process for identifying problems within teams, for obtaining buy in to solve them and for managing the change. It can also be used specifically to target changes needed to ensure delivery of exceptional performance whether it be in a project or general context.
