CONSULTANCY OFFERED

Expert Witness:
Production of expert reports, advice and evidence in respect of water quality, domestic and industrial effluent, biosolids, organic wastes, land spreading under exemption from Waste Management Licensing and water pollution incidents. A paralegal service is offered in conjunction with the expert witness service, or, as a stand alone service in respect of regulator action.

Effluent and Organic Waste Treatment Consultancy:
Domestic and Industrial Effluent and Organic Waste treatment feasibility, treatment problem solving and optimisation. Experience of Physical, Chemical and Biological (aerobic and anaerobic) Treatment processes.

Land Spreading Feasibility Studies:
Assessment of land spreading feasibility of waste materials under exemption from waste management licensing as part of a sustainable waste management policy.

Analytical Services:
Analysis of effluents, organic waste materials and Regulator ‘Formal’ samples as required by expert witness and consultancy projects.

Training Services:
Waste awareness, Environmental, Effluent Treatment and Analytical Chemistry training courses arranged and delivered.


EXPERIENCE
Over twenty five years experience of providing technical support and laboratory services within the UK Water Industry and Private Practice.

CAREER

1978 to 1992: North West Water; Scientific Assistant, Scientific Officer and Senior Scientist (Analytical) provision of  laboratory and technical support services in the areas of sewage treatment and sludge to land operations, trade effluent and potable water. Laboratory management, analytical method development, documentation and validation. Analysis of ‘Formal’ samples as part of a Regulator, and, Regulated organisation.

1992 to date: Self-Employed, freelance consultant operating in the same areas.

2007: Part Time Lecturer, Mid-Cheshire College teaching analytical techniques, BTEC First Diploma in Forensic Science
